“A Legacy of Hope”

— Ahlea Mich’s Story

At 16 years old, Ahlea Mich M. Flores may be small in stature, but her dreams stand tall.

A Grade 10 student and a four-year KIDS Educational Foundation grantee, Ahlea Mich has quietly demonstrated determination beyond her years. Despite her diminutive height, she carries herself with confidence, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Her mother earns a living selling bridal gowns in a popular bargain center, working long hours to help provide for the family. Her stepfather, an architect, also contributes to their household, but like many families, they carefully manage their resources to meet everyday needs.

For the past four years, Ahlea Mich has used her KIDS allowance wisely:

  • Transportation to and from school
  • School supplies and academic requirements
  • Daily school-related expenses

But recently, she did something that deeply touched her family.

Without telling her mother, Ahlea Mich saved part of her allowance and used it to pay for her graduation gown rental and clothes.

It was a simple gesture—but one filled with love, gratitude, and maturity beyond her age. To her mother’s surprise, the burden she had quietly worried about had already been lifted.

She dreams of becoming a CPA-Lawyer, a path that requires discipline, perseverance, and years of dedication.

It is a big dream—but one that matches her determination.

She studies with focus, knowing that every step forward brings her closer to a future where she can help her family and make a meaningful difference.
