Stefanny is not your typical 11th-grader. A 23-year-old mother of two, she left her studies when she became pregnant with her first child, becoming pregnant with her second child during the 2020 pandemic.
Despite the demanding responsibilities of motherhood, Stefanny never gave up on her education. In 2022, she passed the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency (A & E) Test, which qualified her to enroll in Grade 11 at Cayetano Arellano High School.
However, matriculating would not have been possible without the support of the K.I.D.S. Foundation. Her stipend from the organization has enabled her to pay for crucial transportation costs to attend school. She has even set aside some of her stipends to buy milk for her baby, relieving further pressure from her family so that she can focus on her studies.
Currently enrolled in the cookery vocational program at Arellano, Stefanny dreams of opening a small business or finding skilled employment in a restaurant or bakery. Ultimately, she hopes to attend college and study culinary arts, hospitality, and restaurant management.
Stefanny diligently pursues her studies, inspired by her vision of a better future for her kids and her desire to set a good example of the value of education and the importance of determination and hard work. She never hesitates to express gratitude to K.I.D.S. Foundation and hopes that more students like her will have the same opportunity.
