Robin is one of 10 children of parents who deliver food for a living. Despite the availability of public schooling, Robin’s family finances were stretched so thin that even with no need for tuition, his family could not afford the transportation, uniforms, supplies, and other expenses — even minor — it would take for Robin to attend.
In 7th Grade, Robin became a beneficiary of K.I.D.S. Foundation and began attending Cayetano Arellano High School. In 10th Grade, Robin was elected Peace Officer in his student government and participates actively in school activities. Robin’s support from K.I.D.S. Foundation also alleviates financial pressure for the entire family, enabling his parents to invest more in their other children.
Robin dreams of becoming a Civil Engineer to uplift his family and contribute to his community. He studies hard to earn the grades he needs to qualify for a scholarship. He prioritizes God, and his parents thank them daily for the opportunities they have given him.
Sometimes, it only takes a little help to effect a significant change. Robin is a perfect example of how even small financial contributions can make a big difference in the life of a promising child.
