Angela is the daughter of a single mother of four who works in airport security. Single parents face many challenges raising their children in the Philippines. Despite having the drive and the talent, Angela faced severe limitations on her opportunities to explore, learn, and thrive.
In the 7th Grade, Angela became a beneficiary of K.I.D.S. Foundation. The support alleviated the financial pressure on the entire family, enabling her mother to save money and cover expenses.
Angela could focus on her education and aspirations with her school expenses covered. Now in 10th Grade, she serves as the Student Council Vice President.
Inspired by attorney and media personality Lorenzo Tañada, Angela wants to study journalism at Far Eastern University, get her law degree, and become an attorney and media director. She works hard to maintain good grades, emphasizing time management and thrifty budgeting.
Angela is grateful to God, her family, and her benefactors for the opportunities she has been blessed with. Her greatest dream is to one day pay those blessings forward and contribute to her family and community.
